Welcome to the NHL Status Report. Here is the latest lineup/injury news around the NHL.

Montreal Canadiens

Kaiden Guhle will make his season debut for the Canadiens against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; TVAS, SNE, DSN). The Canadiens announced on Sept. 16 that the defenseman had a minor surgery to his adductor muscle this offseason and would be out 4-5 weeks. He had 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 39 games last season.

New York Islanders

Bo Horvat will play for the Islanders against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET; The Spot, MSGSN). The forward practiced on the top line and top power-play unit at the morning skate. He received an illegal check to the head by Chicago Blackhawks center Frank Nazar in the closing moments of a 4-1 win at UBS Arena on Thursday. Horvat, who scored twice in the game, did not return after the infraction at 18:27 of the third period. Nazar received a five-minute match penalty on the play and was later suspended two games by the NHL Department of Player Safety. "Huge relief. Dangerous hit," Islanders coach Peter DeBor said. "Obviously, the league dealt with it. On our end, I'm just thankful that he's available because sometimes with those headshots like that, you can lose a guy for quite a while."

Los Angeles Kings

Mats Zuccarello is week to week because of an undisclosed injury and will not play against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday (10 p.m. ET; ABTV , SCRIPPS). The forward missed the past two days of practice after playing 17:16 in the Kings' 2-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. He has one assist in three games after signing a one-year, $1 million contract with the Kings on July 1. ... Alex Turcotte is day to day because of an undisclosed injury; he has one assist in three games, having been skating as the second-line center to start this season with Quinton Byfield promoted to the Kings' No. 1 center following the retirement of Anze Kopitar.

Dillon Dube will be re-evaluated in eight weeks for the Blues because of a neck injury. The forward missed practice Friday after initially injuring himself against the offensive zone boards following a check by San Jose Sharks forward Will Smith in a 3-2 overtime loss on Thursday. Dube scored a short-handed goal in the third period for his first goal in the NHL since Nov. 16, 2023.
