A first-round pick (No. 21) by Kelowna of the Western Hockey League in the 2013 WHL bantam draft, Dube was a second-round selection (No. 56) by the Calgary Flames in the 2016 NHL Draft. He went on to average 1.38 points per game in 40 games for Kelowna in 2016-17. He was named alternate captain before 2017-18 and set WHL career highs in goals (38), assists (46) and points (84).
Dube has enjoyed international success with Canada, helping the country to a second-place finish at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship and first in 2018 while captain. After Kelowna was eliminated from the WHL playoffs, Dube was assigned to Stockton of the American Hockey League. He made the Flames roster to start the 2018-19 season and debuted in a 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Oct. 3, 2018. He scored his first NHL goal in a 6-3 win against the Winnipeg Jets on Nov. 21.
