The Rangers are looking for their first win. They lost their season opener 4-2 to the Colorado Avalanche at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.

Center Mika Zibanejad scored both Rangers goals and led them with eight shots on goal against the Avalanche. He scored 14 goals in 56 games last season. Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews, the reigning Calder Trophy winner, had three points (one goal, two assists) against the Jets.

The Rangers did not hold a full morning skate. Holden, Kampfer and Pavelec were the only ones who participated. … Moore replaces Fehr on Toronto's fourth line and will play his first game for the Maple Leafs since Feb. 28, 2009. … Rosen, recalled from Toronto of the American Hockey League on Friday, will make his NHL debut, replacing Borgman. He was signed to a two-year, entry level contract May 16.
