The Rangers are 1-3-0 in their past four games and 3-4-2 in their past nine after losing 7-2 at home to the New York Islanders on Saturday. Goalie Henrik Lundqivst is expected to start after replacing Ondrej Pavelec, who allowed five goals on 19 shots, at 6:51 of the second period Saturday.
Penguins goalie Matt Murray has returned from a personal family matter and skated Sunday, but will not be available against the Rangers. Goalie Tristan Jarry will start his fourth straight game.
Rangers forward Kevin Hayes (contusion) will not play.

McDonagh took a maintenance day Sunday. Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said he's a little more than 50/50 to play. … Ruhwedel is expected to miss his eighth game with an upper-body injury. He has skated on a fourth defensive pair with Cole during recent practices.
