Wild team scope

Goalie Darcy Kuemper will make his second start of the season for the Minnesota Wild. He allowed three goals on 30 shots in a 6-3 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. The Wild held an optional morning skate Sunday following a 2-1 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday and coach Bruce Boudreau said he may change his lines. "Anything's possible," Boudreau said. "I haven't really given it a lot of thought. We could tweak something. We've been playing pretty good. Guys are going to have bad games and guys are not going to be on top of their games but I think sometimes change is good, too, so we'll see as we talk this afternoon." Forward Joel Eriksson Ek scored in his NHL debut Saturday. "He played well," Boudreau said. "I was happy with him. He was a good player." Forward Zach Parise is one goal away from his 300th in the NHL.

Defenseman Ryan Pulock sustained a lower-body injury on Friday and will miss 4-6 weeks. Goaltender Thomas Greiss will start in goal for the second time this season. He made 26 saves on 28 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Washington Capitals on Oct. 15. "We've got three goalies here and they all have to play at some point. ... We have a lot of hockey coming up," Capuano said. New York is tied for 28th in the League in power-play percentage at 7.1 (1-for-14), but second on the penalty kill at 94.7 percent (18-for-19). This is the fourth game of a five game homestand for the Islanders, who are 2-1-0 so far.
