The Wild are 4-0-3 in their past seven games, their longest point streak of the season, after defeating the Stars 5-2 at Xcel Energy Center on Thursday. They lead the St. Louis Blues by four points for third place in the Central.
Dallas is six points behind the Blues for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference. The Stars would be eliminated from playoff contention with a regulation loss, a win by the Blues later Saturday against the Arizona Coyotes, or any combination of one Dallas point and one St. Louis point.
The Stars are 1-7-2 in their past 10 games and have scored two goals or fewer in 10 of their past 13.

Players to watch

Wild forward Mikael Granlund has five points (one goal, four assists) in his past five games. His shorthanded goal Thursday ended a 13-game scoring drought.
Stars forward Tyler Seguin has 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) since March 1, seventh-most in the NHL.
