Goaltender Jacob Markstrom get his third straight start for the Vancouver Canucks. No. 1 goalie Ryan Miller, who missed a scheduled start and sat out Thursday because the flu, is healthy enough to dress as his backup. Forward Derek Dorsett won't play after leaving in the first period against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday with a shoulder injury, but right wing Jayson Megna, who grew up in the Chicago area, will return after missing 10 games with a shoulder injury. "I remember going to the games as a 10-year-old kid, so it's definitely cool anytime you get to play these guys," Megna said. "It's important for me to keep it simple tonight, not think too much, just kind of react, put pucks in and use my speed."
The Canucks are looking to build some momentum by winning consecutive games for the first time since they opened the season with four straight victories. Vancouver lost nine in a row after its hot start and has alternated wins and losses in the past five games, including a 3-2 comeback win against the Coyotes on Thursday. "We know one win, one loss is not going to make it for us," captain Henrik Sedin said. "We need to get some wins and get a good feeling around this dressing room again."
