Vegas is looking to win its 23rd home game, which would break the record set by the 1979-80 Hartford Whalers (22-12-6). A victory would also give the Golden Knights 84 points, eclipsing the expansion mark held by the 1993-94 Florida Panthers.
The Golden Knights trail the Tampa Bay Lightning by one point for the best record in the NHL, lead the Nashville Predators by one point for first place in the Western Conference and are eight points ahead of the San Jose Sharks for first in the Pacific Division.
At 69 points, the Flames trail the Los Angeles Kings by two points for third place in the Pacific and the Minnesota Wild by two points for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the West.
