Jones has missed seven games with a medial collateral ligament sprain in his right knee. He was injured during a preseason game against the Buffalo Sabres on Sept. 25 and was expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Jones had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) and a plus-10 rating last season.
Galchenyuk, who missed seven games with a lower-back injury, was acquired in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens for forward Max Domi on June 15. He had 51 points (19 goals, 32 assists) for the Canadiens last season. Galchenyuk was injured in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings on Sept. 18.
