True North hosts Winnipeg Jets Toy Drive presented by Wawanesa Insurance

Winnipeg, MB - True North Sports + Entertainment is pleased to host the annual Winnipeg Jets Toy Drive presented by Wawanesa Insurance at Jets home games starting on Dec.1 versus the Vegas Golden Knights. Fans can also make donations at the next three Jets home games: Dec. 3 vs. Ottawa, Dec. 11 vs. Vancouver, and Dec. 14 vs. Chicago. Donations will also be accepted at the Dec. 5 game between Canada's National Women's Team and Team USA. Fans who are unable to attend those games are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped gift or cash donation to Jets Gear locations (St.Vital, Polo Park, Kildonan Place, Bell MTS Place, and Bell MTS Iceplex) or to select Wawanesa Insurance broker partners (Arthur J. Gallagher, Wyatt Dowling Insurance Brokers, One Insurance, MIG Insurance, La Salle Insurance & Travel Services Ltd.).

Unwrapped gifts and cash donations will be collected at Jets Gear or at Jets Rewards outside Section 101. All gifts and proceeds will be given to the Christmas Cheer Board in time for the holiday season. The Christmas Cheer Board provides Christmas hampers and toys to families receiving Employment Income assistance as well as many of the working poor. The Cheer Board has been in existence since 1919 and hands out approximately 19,000 hampers per year to those in need.
