GETTING HEALTHIER
The lineup will look the same as it did the other night minus Jansen Harkins who was reassigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. The Jets are getting close to having some key players back in the lineup with Nate Schmidt, Cole Perfetti and Nikolaj Ehlers all discarding the red non-contact jerseys. None of those three players will play against the Flames but it looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Jets.
"At the same time, we have to be ready to play no matter who is in the lineup," said Neal Pionk after the morning skate.
"Every team has injuries, every team has something that they are going through. We got to find a way through it."
REICHEL MAKES AN IMPRESSION
Kristian Reichel made his 22-23 season debut for the Jets on Saturday and delivered an assist on the game winning goal by Kyle Connor in the third period in Edmonton. Reichel began the night on the fourth line and by the start of the final period, he was with Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois. The Jets are short on right-handed shots in the lineup right now and Reichel did exactly what was asked of him on the weekend and because of that, he will start of the top line with Dubois and Connor against the Flames.
