WHEELER ON FIRE
Jets forward Blake Wheeler recorded his fourth career hat trick on Tuesday night continuing his dominating play career-wise against the Avalanche. Wheeler became the second oldest player (36 years, 90 days) in Jets/Thrashers history to have a three-goal game, behind only Ray Ferraro. The Minnesota product is averaging almost a point per game with 20 points (7 goals, 13 assists) in 21 games this season. Wheeler, Mark Scheifele and Cole Perfetti have been playing very well together since Rick Bowness put them together.
"He's been a very positive influence in our room from day one," said Bowness after Tuesday night's game.
"He's doing everything he can to help this team win."

GAGNER BACK IN
Sticking with the not having players sitting around too long theme, Bowness has brought Sam Gagner back into the lineup after a two-game absence. Gagner will replace Axel Jonsson-Fjallby on the third line with Adam Lowry and Saku Maenalanen. Bowness felt Gagner was playing well, has meant a lot to the dressing room and has sat out and not complained at all when that has happened.

CHALLENGING MONTH AHEAD
It was important for the Jets to get nine wins in twelve games in the month of November because as of today, Winnipeg will play 16 games in 30 days. Factor in the three-day Christmas break and practice time will be almost zero to allow for the right amount of rest during the final month of 2022. The Jets have three road trips that include back-to-back games.
