SECOND LINE CRUISING
Andrew Copp ended his 18-game regular season goalless drought in style on Saturday night with two tallies in the third period against Ottawa. Copp led the Jets with seven shots on goal and that was one off his career best set back in November of 2019. Copp, Paul Stastny and Nikolaj Ehlers have found some good chemistry going on the Jets second line.

"First one I was about to leave the ice if that didn't go in," said Copp of the first of two goals on Saturday.
"Especially for Stastny, he worked so hard. It was good to see him get three (points) tonight. Because he's such a great player."
POWER PLAY CONTRIBUTES AT RIGHT TIME
The Jets man advantage broke through on Saturday after going 1-16 on their three game eastern road trip. Winnipeg scored twice on the power play in a game for the first time this season with Ehlers opening the scoring with a power play marker in the first. Stastny scored the game winning goal with Derek Stepan off for delay of game at 15:45 of the third.
CARRYING OVER MOMENTUM
The Jets will face the Oilers tonight with Edmonton being the more rested team having last played on Friday night in Toronto. The team is hoping the momentum from their four goal third period against Ottawa carries over into the first period Sunday night.
"The best part about this league is that you don't have time to be pissed off and pout. You don't have time to get cocky and be happy about it," said Stastny.
"Because you play right away. That's what makes it fun. We want to build a good consistency."
ROLLING ON HOME ICE
Thanks to last night's 6-3 come from behind win over the Ottawa Senators the Winnipeg Jets have won eight straight games on home ice dating back to last season. They have outscored their opponents 33-14. The last time the Jets lost at Bell MTS Place was February 14th, 2020 when they dropped a 4-3 decision to the San Jose Sharks.
APPRECIATING BEAU
Lost in the shuffle of a dominant final period is defenceman Nathan Beaulieu's contributions to the team in the opening frame when he dropped the gloves with Micheal Haley and a recorded a key block of a Sens power play chance. Beaulieu is second on the team with 8 blocked shots.
"That's everything we want to build our team around. It was why it was imperative for us to keep Beau around," said Blake Wheeler.
"He's a heart and soul type of player. He'll stand up for any guy on the team. He'll stand in front of any shot. Those are the types of plays you win hockey games with."
