RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forwards Sheldon Rempal and Drew Shore and defenseman Joey Keane to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Rempal, 25, has skated in three NHL games this season. The 5'10", 165-pound forward has played 10 career NHL games, including seven with Los Angeles in 2018-19. Rempal has registered 61 points (19g, 42a) in 115 career AHL games, all with Ontario. The Calgary, Alta., native was signed by Carolina as a free agent on Oct. 16, 2020.
Shore, 30, made his Hurricanes debut against Dallas on Sunday and has tallied 26 points (9g, 17a) in 95 career NHL games with Vancouver, Calgary, Florida and Carolina. The 6'2", 209-pound forward posted 38 points (10g, 28a) in 61 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) games with Kunlun, Minsk and Nizhny Novgorod from 2018-20. He also skated in 90 games with Kloten HC and Zurich SC of Switzerland's National League from 2016-18, with 73 points (29g, 44a). The Denver, Colo., native was signed by Carolina as a free agent on Oct. 21, 2020.
Keane, 21, recorded 37 points (9g, 28a) in 58 AHL games with Hartford and Charlotte last season, and was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team and the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic. The 6'0", 187-pound defenseman played 195 career OHL games with Barrie and London, tallying 102 points (21g, 81a). The Chicago, Ill., native was acquired from the New York Rangers in exchange for Julien Gauthier on Feb. 18, 2020.
