SUTTER ON HOW IT PLAYED OUT:

WAS IT AN ENERGY PROBEM?

"No. This wasn't about energy. It was about getting outplayed."

ON RESPONSE IN THE SECOND AND THIRD:

"When you're down 4-0, you pretty much have to flush it and start again, right? No other way around it. Scored a powerplay goal to start the second. But 5-on-5, I think they dominated us."

WERE THERE ANY POSITIVES?

"No. Flush it. Let's go."

ON GIVING VLADAR THE THIRD PERIOD:

"Tough call. (When) it's 4-cobb, you're thinking about tomorrow, so you're kind of in between. Haven't played in a while, so it was good to get him in, I think."

ANDERSSON'S THOUGHTS:

"It was a brutal game. Nothing more to say, really. Quick turnaround. We've got to be better tomorrow.
"Nothing was really going for us tonight. Tough one. But as I said, new game tomorrow, we've got to come out better, we've got to have a better first, second and third period tomorrow if we're going to have any chance to win. Obviously, not really much to say except that it was a terrible game by us."

ON WHAT BROKE DOWN TECHNICALLY:

"Our d-zone was not good enough. We were not good enough with the puck. We didn't get through the neutral zone, we didn't have any forecheck. ... I was terrible tonight. I've got to be better. Everyone's got to step up tomorrow. I have to play a lot better."

ON WHY THEY CAME OUT SLOW:

"I don't think it was a lack of energy - and not with the situation we're in. It's a tough situation. I wasn't good enough and I've got to play better tomorrow and the team's got to play better."

LEWIS ON WHERE IT WENT WRONG:

"I think they outworked us from the drop of the puck and pretty much every facet of the game. We were too slow and got outworked and that's what happens.
"Tough to fall down early to anyone like that. They came out right from the drop of the puck and we weren't ready for it. For us to have any chance to make the playoffs here, we're going to have to work a lot harder and play our game tomorrow."
