ANAHEIM - There will be at least one lineup change tonight when the Flames face the Ducks.
Head coach Bill Peters confirmed Austin Czarnik will play, this after Dillon Dube was officially placed on the IR this morning, retroactive to Nov. 3 when he suffered a concussion on a hit by Duncan Keith in a game against the Blackhawks.
"He was playing well," said Peters of Czarnik. "I wasn't disappointed in his game at all but what happened is he came out of the lineup and the team started to play well and started to win and it was hard to make a lineup change. Now with the injury (to Dube), obviously there is an opportunity to do that. He's a good player, we have to make sure we give him enough ice time tonight to be successful and I think we'll be able to do that."
Czarnik skated on a line in the morning skate with Mark Jankowski and Anthony Peluso - who was called up earlier in the day - on the other wing.
However, Peters said no decision has been made yet on whether Peluso or Garnet Hathaway will get the nod in that slot come gametime tonight.
"We'll see," said Peters. "We got a choice here, we got Peluso and we got Hath who can play on that line ... I think we have real good options no matter what we do."
Mike Smith will get the start in net.
Below are the lines and pairing from today's morning skate.
