Mark Giordano will play in his 700th NHL game this evening. The undrafted defenceman signed with Calgary as a free agent in 2004, rising through the ranks to become the Flames' captain in 2013. He ranks seventh in franchise history for games played and is just 11 behind Jim Peplinksi for sixth. Over 699 games, he has 102 goals and 348 points. He has been an NHL All-Star on two occasions, won the NHL Foundation Player Award in 2016 and won the ESPY's Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award this past July. This year, Giordano has three goals and eight points in 26 games.
