New Faces Incoming

With the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship done, the Flames will have three new faces heading into training camp in Dustin Wolf, Jakob Pelletier and Connor Zary.
Head coach Geoff Ward confirmed the three players will not be involved in Thursday's inter-squad scrimmage as they will undergo health and safety protocols before getting on the ice.
"We want to make sure they're healthy," Ward said. "We'll see how we'll fit them in. They certainly won't be here for the game tomorrow, it's a day off after that, and at that point, we're going to shuffle things around a little bit again. We'll see how that may impact everything.
"We may decide to put them into a group or we may decide not to. Those are some things we've got to talk about but no final decision has been made."
Wolf won gold with the USA, appearing stopping all 21 of the shots he faced in the two games he played at the tournament.

Pelletier and Zary captured silver, with Pelletier recording seven points in seven games and Zary collecting two points in his seven skates.
