MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at Monday night's game between the Canadiens and the Washington Capitals at the Bell Centre.

3 - Goaltender Carey Price made his third consecutive start on Monday night. After going up against the Calgary Flames and the Vancouver Canucks in Western Canada, Price was given the nod again to battle the defending Stanley Cup champions.
2 - Number of consecutive games defenseman Mike Reilly sat out as a healthy scratch before returning to the Canadiens' lineup on Monday night. Fellow blueliner Xavier Ouellet was a healthy scratch as a result, as was Karl Alzner, who missed his fourth straight game.
9:20 - Time elapsed in the first period before Reilly made his presence felt in his return, opening the scoring and giving the Canadiens a 1-0 lead courtesy of a sweet solo effort. That snapped a 12-game goal drought for the 25-year-old University of Minnesota product. It was his second goal of the season.

      WSH@MTL: Reilly dekes, beats Copley short side

      4 - Matthew Peca snapped a four-game pointless streak when he picked up the lone assist on Reilly's tally. It was his first career point against the Capitals. Peca was playing in his 40th career NHL game on Monday night.
      20 - Number of seconds that elapsed in the second period when Brendan Gallagher re-directed a Phillip Danault feed past Capitals starter Pheonix Copley to tie things up 2-2. In doing so, Gallagher became the second Hab to reach double-digits in the goal-scoring department so far this season, joining Max Domi. Gallagher's marker snapped an eigh-game goal drought.

          WSH@MTL: Gallagher crashes the net and scores

          12 - After going 12 straight games without lighting the lamp, Jeff Petry found the back of the net just 48 seconds after Gallagher's strike to give the Canadiens a 3-2 advantage. Petry also collected an assist on Gallagher's goal to register the 28th multi-point game of his career.

              WSH@MTL: Petry jams PPG past Copley in close

              10 - With an assist on Petry's goal, Domi extended his point streak to 10 straight games, becoming the first Canadiens player to do so since Vincent Damphousse in February 1996. He is also the first player to do so in his first season with the Habs since Pierre Turgeon in April 1995.
              1:35 - Kenny Agostino scored the Canadiens' third goal in a span of 1:35 to begin the middle frame on Monday night, upping the Habs' lead to 4-2. It was Agostino's first goal in a Habs uniform. He was playing his sixth game with the big club since being recalled from the AHL's Laval Rocket.

                  WSH@MTL: Agostino beats Copley with nice redirection

                  1 - Youngster Jesperi Kotkaniemi registered the first multi-assist game of his career on Monday night, collecting helpers on the Petry and Agostino goals. They were his eighth and ninth assists of the season.
                  2- According to the NHL's Public Relations Department, the Canadiens' three goals to start the middle frame is tied for the second-fastest three goals to start any period in franchise history. It is also tied for the 14th-fastest set of three goals to open any period in NHL history.
                  8 - Number of times Domi has dropped the gloves over the course of his career after going toe-to-toe with Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov late in the second period on Monday night. It was his first scrap in a Canadiens uniform.
                  33:51 - Petry logged a career-high 33:51 of ice time on Monday night against the Capitals.
