On Friday, Berube made a swap to the forward lines, moving Pavel Buchnevich to a line with Robert Thomas and Vladimir Tarasenko and shifting Jordan Kyrou to a line with Ivan Barbashev and Brayden Schenn.
"When (Buchnevich, Thomas and Tarasenko) are successful, they have the puck," Berube said Saturday. "Robby Thomas is such a good transporter of the puck from his own end or through the neutral zone. He will find people with the puck. Vladi is a shooter, and I'd like to see Buchy getting to those shooting areas more, shooting pucks. I find when he's in those areas and shooting pucks, he can score goals. Don't get too cute, be pretty direct with the puck. Tommer will find you."
Carolina ranks third in the League with 91 points, just one behind the second-place Florida Panthers. The Hurricanes can score - their plus-55 goal differential ranks fourth overall - one ahead of the Blues, who are fifth (plus-44).
"You've got to be ready to work, for sure," Berube said of playing the Hurricanes. "(They are) a very hard-working team, puck pressure everywhere. They obviously have been real good for a couple years now. It will be a hard game… You definitely have got to skate, win your puck battles and there's not going to be a lot of clean plays out there. You've got to be willing to chip and chase and go to work."
