The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Mike Hardman on a two-year entry-level contract that runs through the 2021-22 season ($912,500 salary cap hit). Hardman will begin his professional career immediately by being assigned to the taxi squad and will wear #86 with the Blackhawks.

A native of Hanover, Massachusetts, Hardman recently completed his sophomore season at Boston College where he shared second on the team with 10 goals and shared third with 19 points. As a freshman during the 2019-20 campaign, he recorded 12 markers and added 13 helpers in 34 regular-season games. The Eagles were the Hockey East regular-season champions in each of the last two years.
Prior to Boston College, Hardman played with the West Kelowna Warriors of the British Columbia Hockey League during the 2018-19 season. He finished second in the league with 39 goals and was third with 72 points. Hardman won the BCHL's Bob Fenton Trophy as the Most Sportsmanlike Player. He registered 23 points (10G, 13A) in 56 games with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey league during the 2017-18 season.
