draft lottery

The National Hockey League has announced the draft odds for the NHL Draft Lottery and the Blackhawks will have the seventh best odds going into the first lottery selection on Saturday, April 28 in Toronto.
Chicago will look to turn their 6.5 percent chance of selecting first-overall into the magic they captured in 2007. That year the club had an 8.1 percent chance of getting the first pick, and after winning the lottery they selected Patrick Kane number one overall.
This year, Swedish defenseman Rasmus Dahlin is expected by most to be the top pick in the draft. Experts view Dahlin as a potential franchise-altering blueliner.
If the Blackhawks do not win the lottery to choose first overall, they still have a 20.4 percent chance of picking in the top three.
Below is more information from the league and full odds for all the teams in the lottery.

The 2018 NHL Draft Lottery will consist of three drawings: the 1st Lottery Draw will determine the club selecting first overall, the 2nd Lottery Draw will determine the club selecting second overall and the 3rd Lottery Draw will determine the club selecting third overall.
