Chicago, IL (November 11, 2016)-The Chicago Blackhawks 2016-17 run for the Stanley Cup will be available in more places and on more screens than ever before as CSN Chicago (CSN), the home for the most games and the most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, has announced that the network's Blackhawks games will be streamed live on CSNChicago.com (CSNChicago.com/BlackhawksStream) and via the NBC Sports app to authenticated CSN Chicago subscribers. In addition, CSN Chicago will also offer live streams of every first round Stanley Cup Playoff game, and every edition of its surrounding Chevy Blackhawks Pregame Live and Blackhawks Postgame Live presented by HawkAuto.com coverage throughout the season.

Beginning TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15 (featuring the Blackhawks at Winnipeg Jets; game night coverage begins at 6:30 PM CT w/Chevy Blackhawks Pregame Live), the new live streaming offering will be available without any additional costs as an added value to participating providers of CSN Chicago and their subscribers. This initiative advances NBCUniversal's implementation of "TV Everywhere," which strives to make quality content available to authenticated customers both in and out of the home, and on multiple platforms.
"We are thrilled to launch live streaming of our Chicago Blackhawks telecasts beginning this season," said Phil Bedella, Vice President/General Manager of CSN Chicago. "CSN is committed to providing viewers with access to our in-depth and compelling Blackhawks content in and out of the home and on any device."
"It is important for the Blackhawks organization to make it easy to be a fan, and that means making games as easy to watch as possible," added Chicago Blackhawks Chairman Rocky Wirtz. "By live-streaming Blackhawks games, our fans can be assured that they have complete access to games, whether they are home, out to dinner or on the go."
To access the video player, viewers can visit CSNChicago.com on their PC, or download the NBC Sports app. Powered by Playmaker Media, the NBC Sports app is available on Apple iOS, Android and select Samsung devices, as well as on Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Win10, and Xbox. Authenticated CSN Chicago subscribers now have the ability to access live Blackhawks coverage, even when traveling outside of their region, provided they are within the United States.
The live streaming service is currently available to CSN Chicago customers of Comcast/Xfinity, DIRECTV, DISH Network, AT&T U-verse, Mediacom, RCN, WOW!, Time Warner Cable and Charter among numerous other carriers. For a full list of carriers and more information about CSN Chicago's live streaming service of Blackhawks games, viewers are urged to visit the following link: http://www.csnchicago.com/live-faq. CSN's addition of Blackhawks streaming follows the 2014 introduction of Chicago Bulls live NBA streaming, which experienced a solid 30% year-to-year traffic growth increase.
For the ninth-straight season, Blackhawks play-by-play legend Pat Foley and former Blackhawks star/Chicago hockey icon Eddie Olczyk (handling color analysis) will be the featured announcing tandem all season long. Also, for his 12th-straight year on CSN, former Blackhawks defenseman Steve Konroyd will be the featured studio analyst on Chevy Blackhawks Pregame Live and Blackhawks Postgame Live presented by HawkAuto.com, joining studio host Pat Boyle for the fifth-straight season. In addition, former Blackhawks center/current Blackhawks Community Liaison Jamal Mayers will once again make a number of select appearances throughout the season on both shows.
Every Blackhawks game telecast on CSN this season will be preceded by Chevy Blackhawks Pregame Live, a half-hour pre-game show featuring a breakdown of the evening's match-up, interviews with coaches and players and a look at the other games around the NHL. Immediately following every CSN Blackhawks game telecast, viewers can look forward to the most comprehensive post-game wrap-up show on Blackhawks Postgame Live presented by HawkAuto.com featuring live coverage of head coach Joel Quenneville's post-game press conferences, along with locker room interviews with Blackhawks players.
