AGAINST PHILADELPHIA

The Blackhawks host the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday evening in the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Chicago has points in six of their last seven games against Philadelphia (4-1-2), including points in three of their last four games at the United Center (2-1-1). Tyler Bertuzzi has logged points (5G, 10A) in seven of his last nine games against the Flyers and ranks second on the club with 11 assists and 17 points in 17 career games against them. Forward Teuvo Teravainen has three assists in his last three games against Philadelphia and leads all Chicago skaters in goals (8), assists (17) and points (25) in 32 career games against the club.

The Blackhawks fell to the Ottawa Senators, 6-4, on Sunday afternoon at Canadian Tire Centre. Ilya Mikheyev scored two goals, while Andre Burakovsky scored a power play goal. Nick Lardis also found the back of the net for his first career NHL goal and Ryan Greene posted his first career NHL multi-point game (2A) while leading all forwards with a career-high 22:46 of time on ice. Five other Blackhawks each registered an assist and Connor Murphy notched a game-high five hits. Arvid Soderblom made 34 saves as the Blackhawks went 6-for7 (85.7%) on the penalty kill.

The Blackhawks come into Tuesday’s matchup having earned points in seven of their last 11 (5-4-2) home games. In the 11-game stretch dating back to Oct. 28, the club leads the NHL with a 91.2% penalty kill percentage (31-for- 34) at home. Forward Tyler Bertuzzi has tallied goals (2G) in two of his last three home games and has six points (3G, 3A) over his last eight games in Chicago.

Chicago forward Ilya Mikheyev scored two goals on Saturday against Ottawa and has three points (2G, 1A) in his last three games. It’s his second multi-goal game of the season (Oct. 13 vs. UTA). The forward is averaging a career-high 17:36 of time on ice per game this season. He’s also averaging a career-high 3:05 of shorthanded time on ice per game, which ranks third among all NHL forwards. Mikheyev now shares fifth among all team skaters with six goals in 33 games this season.

GREENER PASTURES

Rookie forward Ryan Greene posted two assists on Saturday against Ottawa for his first career NHL multi-point game and led all forwards with a career-high 22:46 of time on ice. The forward has recorded 12 points (4G, 8A) in 35 games this season and leads all team rookies with four goals while ranking second with eight assists and 12 points. Greene shares first among NHL rookies with 329 faceoffs taken this season and ranks fourth with 146 faceoff wins in 2025-26.

Dec. 23, 1965: Bobby Hull was named Canada’s outstanding male athlete of the year, as voted by the Canadian Press (later named the Lionel Conacher Award). He led the NHL with 54 goals and 97 points in 65 games during the 1965-66 season. During the 1964-65 campaign, he ranked second in the league with 39 goals and ranked fourth in points.

Chicago defeated Philadelphia, 3-2, at Chicago Stadium on Dec. 23, 1967. Kenny Wharram (1G, 1A) and Stan Mikita (1G, 1A) each logged two points, while Denis DeJordy made 26 saves for the victory. Mikita leads the Blackhawks all-time with 53 points (15G, 38A) in 52 career games against Philadelphia.
