The San Jose Sharks host the Detroit Red Wings in the final meeting of the regular season tonight at SAP Center.
Team Teal is coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to Anaheim and a five-game losing streak- they're longest of the season. Justin Braun scored the game-tying goal with 2:40 left on the clock, who appeared in his 600th career NHL game. Timo Meier and Kevin Labanc also scored for the Sharks while Marc-Edouard Vlasic earned his fourth multi-assist game this season.
The last meeting between these clubs was February 24 in Detroit. The Sharks rallied from a two-goal deficit and scored four-unanswered goals en route to a 5-3 win. Joe Pavelski scored his fifth career hat trick in the contest, which marked the sixth instance by a Sharks player this season. Brent Burns reached the 70-point mark this season and was the ninth instance in which a defenseman earned 70 points prior to the team's 65th game. Entering tonight's contest, Brent Burns is on a four-game assist streak (0g, 4a).
