It's an 8:30 p.m. puck drop in Chicago tonight and we've got the latest on the Sens projected line-up, starting goalie and more...

Projected Line-up

The Sens will be getting a little help back up front against the Blackhawks tonight as Mikkel Boedker is set to return after missing the last two weeks with a "mid-body" injury. With Boedker back and many of the team's offensive players firing on all cylinders, Sens head coach Guy Boucher has some decisions to make when it comes to his special teams units.
"Right now I have to kind of reshuffle them," Boucher said about his power play groups. "Balcers scored a goal on the man advantage so to be honest with you I have too many guys for the power play for tonight. I have to make decisions on how I'm going to reshuffle that."

Sens @ Blackhawks – Coach Pre-game

With Boedker back, the Sens have sent Jack Rodewald and Darren Archibald to Belleville.
Here's a look at the Sens' projected line-up tonight in Chicago:
Dzingel - Duchene - Ryan
Tkachuk - White - Stone
Smith - Pageau - Paajarvi
Boedker - Tierney - Balcers
Chabot - DeMelo
Lajoie - Ceci
Jaros - Harpur

In Goal

There was talk that Craig Anderson might return to action tonight and play in his 600th career NHL game in his hometown but it sounds like he just isn't quite 100% after suffering an eye injury about a week ago. That means Anders Nilsson (10-14-1) will make his sixth straight start for the Senators and will look to build off a solid 4-3 overtime win against the Jets on Saturday.
Filip Gustavsson has also been returned to Belleville which means that Anderson is healthy enough to handle the back-up duties this evening.

Previous Meeting

These teams last met way back on October 4th, 2018 at the Sens' home opener with the Blackhawks rallying to earn a 4-3 overtime win. Zack Smith, Max Lajoie and Colin White all scored their first goals of the season against Chicago while Craig Anderson stopped 39 of the 43 shots he faced in defeat.
"You can't fault our effort. Our effort was there," said Anderson post-game. "Everyone was there pushing hard. A lot of good things to pull from this game."

Bit of a later start in Chicago so with puck drop set for a little agter 8:30 p.m. why not grab some friends and head over to the Glue Pot Pub on Queen St. where they'll be serving up $6 tall cans of Molson Canadian during the game.
