Exactly 762 days had passed since Bridgestone Arena last hosted a Predators playoff game, but it was worth the wait.
Matt Duchene's goal in double overtime to give the Predators a 5-4 win in Game 3 over the Hurricanes on Friday night not only cut Carolina's series lead to a 2-1 count, but it provided over 12,000 Preds fans a chance to show just how much of an impact they can have in the postseason.
The largest crowd in the NHL since the pandemic began in March of 2020 did not disappoint, nor were they disappointed by what will go down as one of the best playoff games in franchise history.
And while the series is far from over, Friday's Game 3 won't be forgotten anytime soon. Here are the best sights and sounds from an instant classic in Smashville.
