The Nashville Predators are expected to see a familiar - yet new - face in the lineup tonight versus the Vancouver Canucks (at 7 p.m. CT).

Vernon Fiddler started his career with Nashville (25-19-8) in 2002 and was traded back to the Preds on Saturday. Based on Monday's practice rushes, the 36-year-old veteran is expected to center Nashville's fourth line on Tuesday. The Canucks (23-23-6) start a six-game road trip this evening and have dropped their previous three contests.

On Tuesday morning, the Preds placed Harry Zolnierczyk on Injured Reserve and recalled Pontus Aberg from Milwaukee (AHL).

A projected lineup for the Preds, based on Monday's practice, is below:

Forwards

Filip Forsberg - Ryan Johansen - James Neal

Pontus Aberg - Mike Fisher - Craig Smith

Colin Wilson - Calle Jarnkrok - Viktor Arvidsson

Cody McLeod - Vernon Fiddler - Austin Watson

Defense

Matt Irwin - Ryan Ellis

Mattias Ekholm - P.K. Subban

Roman Josi - Yannick Weber

Goaltenders

Pekka Rinne

Juuse Saros

Note: The Predators have not announced a starting goaltender for tonight's game
