The Nashville Predators bring a five-game point streak (4-0-1) with them to Buffalo to take on the Sabres (tonight at 6 p.m. CT).
Nashville (31-22-9) has found success in past games in Buffalo, going 8-1-1 in the city all time, including wins in their last five times at KeyBank Center. The Preds also have the current NHL First Star of the Week on their roster; Filip Forsberg, who received the honor on Monday, has eight goals in his last four games. Three-straight wins (over Colorado, Washington and Edmonton) helped the Predators close out their four-game home stand, as the team now shifts to the Northeast for two games on the road (at Buffalo and Montreal).
Buffalo (26-26-10) is winless in their last three, but used a three-goal comeback on Jan. 24 to take out the Preds, 5-4 in overtime, in the clubs' only other meeting this season.
The visitors held a full morning skate on Tuesday and were joined by Cody McLeod (Injured Reserve; lower-body) and Miikka Salomaki (IR; lower-body). Below is a projected lineup based on the session:
