Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Wednesday that the club has assigned defenseman Samuel Girard to Milwaukee (AHL).
Girard, 18 (5/12/98), played 59 regular-season games for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL) this season and led the team in assists (66) while tying for the team lead in points (75). He led the club in points (9) and assists (8) in five playoff games. A native of Roberval, Quebec, Girard was Nashville's second choice, 47th overall (second round) in the 2016 Entry Draft

The Preds return to the ice tomorrow night at Dallas at 7:30 p.m. CT. They will end the regular season on Saturday at Winnipeg at 6 p.m. CT before participating in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Both games will be televised on FOX Sports Tennessee and can be heard on the Predators' flagship radio station, 102.5 The Game.
