After the Nashville Predators suffered their first loss in their last six games, they'll try to begin a new streak tonight as they face the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center. It's the first of two meetings between the clubs; Nashville will host the Devils on Dec. 15.
Nashville's second loss of the season came on Tuesday, when they allowed three goals in the third period to the San Jose Sharks. The visitors came back to win, 5-4. The Predators were pleased with their play through 40 minutes, but the final 20 left something to be desired.
"More than anything, we just shot ourselves in the foot," Predators Head Coach Peter Laviolette said following the loss. "We didn't take care of the game very well in the third period - just too many chances that came back the other way or just rushes from our turnovers, and against a veteran team like that, they can hurt you pretty quick."
