Here is what the Pens had to say about their rivalry match tonight against the Capitals.

MIKE SULLIVAN
On the Caps
They're playing extremely well. They've won 6 games in a row. They're a hard team to play against. They're one of the top teams in the league. I think these teams have familiarity with one another with the games we've played against one another. I don't think there are any secrets. Both teams are really good teams that are playing good hockey right now.
On looking at film from 7-1 loss to Caps in November
We looked at some things. We're not going to overthink that. We know our team is a better team than that. We just want to make sure we respond the right way.
CONOR SHEARY
On lessons from 7-1 loss in Washington
We have to wipe that one clean. It was one of those games where we didn't really have it and they did. They put up 7 on us so they played pretty well. Coming into tonight we want to make sure we have a good start in a road building and try to take their momentum away from them.
On his line
The first few games you're feeling it out a little bit and reading off of each other. I've been playing with (Sidney Crosby) for a bit. Adding (Bryan) Rust to the line adds a lot of speed and a lot of grit. It's mixed pretty well for us so far. Hopefully we can keep it going tonight.
ERIC FEHR
On lessons of 7-1 loss to Caps
You're going to have those. We weren't as bad as the score was in that game. I thought we had good parts to our game. They really capitalized on a lot of their chances. Those games are going to happen. You have to forget that one and come with a great effort tonight.
On the PK creating offense
We were waiting for the opportunities. Sometimes you try to force it and they're not there. Sometimes you're a little bit more patient and they come to you quicker. We try to take what the game gives us. For the most part we're pretty happy with the way we've been killing the last couple of games.
On beating Braden Holtby
Just try to make sure he can't see it, get in front. He's a really big guy and he does a really good job of looking around traffic. He battles hard for position. I think that's one of the things that makes him really effective. If we create a little chaos around him it will make it more difficult.
STEVE OLEKSY
On playing his former team
It's going to be fun. I have some great memories and friendships. I stay in contact with some of them, not just with the Capitals, but in the area. It's definitely going to be interesting. It's going to be fun. But my approach as a player and professional is to treat it as any other hockey game. At the end of the day these two teams have a pretty good rivalry and it's a big two points for us.
On beating Washington
It's important for us to get some traffic, control the puck in the offensive zone and get some zone time. We have some pretty dynamic forwards who have success in scoring goals. If we can keep that rolling we'll have a good chance for the final result.
