The Pens are coming off a 5-3 loss to the New York Islanders on Wednesday at Barclays Center. After being down 3-0 heading into the second intermission, Pittsburgh produced an incredible third-period comeback by scoring three goals to tie the game. However, the Islanders struck with 26.6 seconds left in regulation - and added an empty-netter three seconds later to seal the win. … The Pens are 6-0 this year following a regulation loss, and are 15-0-1 in their past 16 regulation setbacks dating back to last season. … This is the first meeting of the year between the Pens and Stars. Pittsburgh is looking to end Dallas' four-game winning streak in the series. … Tonight, defenseman Trevor Daley will play against Dallas for the first time in his career. He was drafted by the Stars in 2002 and played 756 games over 11 seasons for Dallas. … Marc-Andre Fleury will likely get the start in goal for Pittsburgh.
