Defenceman Andrej Sekera was seen wincing in pain after blocking a shot late in Monday's 3-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

The Bojnice, Slovakia native immediately left the ice and headed directly for the dressing room before the final buzzer sounded.

Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan assured the media that Sekera is healthy and will be in the lineup on Wednesday against the Florida Panthers.

"He blocked a shot but he should be fine for tomorrow," McLellan said.

"We're counting on him."

Sekera has five goals and 15 assists in 44 games this season.
