EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have loaned goaltender Stuart Skinner to the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League.
The 23-year-old netminder posted his first-career NHL shutout in his last start on Monday, making 20 saves in a 3-0 win over the San Jose Sharks that marked the young netminder's third-straight road victory and fourth win in five starts with the Oilers.
Skinner owns a 6-6-0 record in the NHL this season with a shutout, a 2.62 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in 13 appearances with the Oilers.
In a corresponding move, the Oilers removed goaltender Mikko Koskinen from COVID-19 protocol.
