San Jose Sharks v Anaheim Ducks

EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defencemen Shakir Mukhamadullin and Zack Sharp from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenceman Darnell Nurse.

Mukhamadullin (6’4”, 200 lbs, 24) dressed in 50 games for the Sharks last season, registering 12 points (5G, 7A), 22 penalty minutes and a -3 plus/minus rating. In 83 career games over parts of three seasons with the Sharks, he tallied 22 points (7G, 15A), 34 penalty minutes and a -10 plus/minus rating.

The Ufa, Russia product was originally a first-round (20th overall) selection of the New Jersey Devils from the 2020 NHL Draft.

Sharp (6’2”, 180lbs, 21) is coming off his second season with Western Michigan University (NCAA), where he grabbed 19 points (5G, 14A), 18 penalty minutes and a +15 plus/minus rating over 37 games. The Naperville, Illinois product was originally drafted by the Sharks in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft.
