Ehlers had a maintenance day and did not take part in the morning skate but is expected to play. … Armia, Slafkovsky and Evans, each a forward, were placed on injured reserve. Harvey-Pinard and Pitlick were recalled from Laval of the American Hockey League and will play. … Drouin did not take part in the morning skate and is questionable. ... Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis said he might have to dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen. … Matheson will play for the first time since Dec. 17 after missing the past 13 games, and 17 of the past 18, because of a lower-body injury. … Montembeault will make his fifth straight start.
