Here's what the Pens are saying about tonight's contests against the Detroit Red Wings.

ON THE WINGS
Sullivan: "It's another team that likes to play a speed game. I expect it to be a fast game at both ends of the rink. Teams that play with speed have a good transition game. Detroit is one of those teams. We'll have to take care of the puck, make good decisions coming through the neutral zone, force them to defend and expend energy defending us."
Crosby: "We want to avoid going up-and-down, making sure we play fast but defend well and slow them down. As much zone time we can get will hopefully slow things down. They want to play the same way."
Schultz: "We play with speed too. If we play our game we'll have a lot of success. We just have to be aware of them. They have a lot of speed, being in the right position and having good gaps."
ON THE '91-92 CUP TEAMS' ATTENDANCE
Sullivan: "I have a few (memories playing against them). They're not good ones. … It was always a big challenge playing against those teams. That's why they're celebrating."
Crosby: "When you play here you're able to meet the alumni. There are a lot of guys that played here and stayed here. It's a big family. Having that opportunity gives you a sense of pride."
Kunitz: "It's really cool to see how many guys are back. We have a few of those coming up in the next couple of years, it'll be nice to see guys together."
Schultz: "It's unreal seeing these guys around the dressing room. It was like that in Edmonton when guys would come back. It's neat for us to see them around here. Seeing Paul Coffey in the dressing room after the (Dallas) game was pretty cool. Hopefully we can have a good show tonight."
ODDS AND ENDS
Kunitz on his health: "It feels pretty good out there. I haven't had a lot of reps with the team. You have to evaluate yourself, talk to the training staff and everything. I feel strong enough on the ice."
Schultz on his pairing with Cole: "We felt pretty comfortable the whole time we've played together going back to last year. We're getting rewarded right now. Pucks are going in for us. Hopefully that can continue."
Sullivan on talking with Scotty Bowman: "With what he's been able to accomplish in the game, all of us aspiring coaches look to guys like Scotty as role models and mentors to try and learn from. I had a long conversation this summer with Scotty about how to repeat, and some of his insights. He's the last guy to do it. That's an example of how highly I think of him as a coach and as a person."
