NYR@NYI: Chytil records preseason hatty vs. Islanders

Filip Chytil completed a hat trick on a power play 2:06 into overtime to give the New York Rangers a 5-4 win against the New York Islanders in the preseason finale for each team at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Saturday.

Chytil scored two of the Rangers' three power-play goals.
Mathew Barzal tied it 4-4 for the Islanders with 50 seconds remaining in the third period.
Ryan Strome had a goal and an assist, Vitali Kravtsov scored a power-play goal, and Alexandar Georgiev made 29 saves for the Rangers, who open the regular season at the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.
Barzal and Anders Lee each had two goals and an assist, and Ilya Sorokin made 15 saves for the Islanders, who open their season at the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
Strome was injured with one second remaining in the second period after colliding with Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield, and Rangers forward Kevin Rooney left with an apparent injury in the third period following an altercation with Islanders forward Ross Johnston.
