Status report
Boqvist started on the fourth line with Sharangovich and Zetterlund in a 5-3 win at the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, but was joined by McLeod and Mercer later in the game and the three combined for seven points (three goals, four assists); Boqvist, McLeod and Mercer remained together at practice Thursday and during the Devils' morning skate Friday. ... Marino, a defenseman, will miss his 10th straight game; he practiced Thursday in a non-contact jersey and did the same Friday. ... Bastian is expected to return at the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday; the forward has missed 19 games. ... The Ducks did not hold a morning skate Friday.
