PREDATORS (17-7-3) at STARS (16-10-1)
8:30 p.m. ET; FW-SW, FS-TN, NHL.TV

Nashville is completing the second half of a back-to-back set after a 5-3 win against the Boston Bruins on Monday.
Goalie Ben Bishop will start for the Stars; he's won his past four games. Predators goalie Juuse Saros likely will make his first start since a 4-3 shootout loss against the Carolina Hurricanes on Nov. 26, but coach Peter Laviolette would not confirm his starter.

Players to watch

With Predators No. 1 center Ryan Johansen out because of an upper-body injury, center Kyle Turris had two assists playing on a line with Craig Smith and Kevin Fiala.
Stars forward Radek Faksa has seven points (five goals, two assists) during a four-game point streak.

They said it

"I think anytime we play in our division it's a test for our team. You look at where Winnipeg is at, then we play Chicago. And Dallas right now is winning hockey games. I think it's always tough. St. Louis has been tough. So any division game always provides a tough challenge. I think certainly having a back-to-back situation provides more of a challenge, but that's the schedule everybody gets." -- Predators coach Peter Laviolette
"Our value system is changing. We're not just relying our skill set, we're relying on our work to win games. It's not there yet, it's not where we want it. It's getting better, and I think we're having success because of that. The teams that have long-term playoff success, they trust their work and then they let their skill go from there. And we're starting to learn those qualities." -- Stars coach Ken Hitchcock
