The Red Wings are coming off a 5-2 loss at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday and are 2-6-2 in their past 10 games. They defeated the Stars 4-2 at Little Caesars Arena on Oct. 28.
The Stars are 3-2-0 in their past five games after losing four straight, and have lost their past two at home. They defeated the Nashville Predators 2-0 on Thursday with goalie Anton Khudobin setting a franchise record with 49 saves in the shutout. Ben Bishop, who didn't play Thursday because a travel issue made him late returning from the Christmas break, will start.
