Philipp Grubauer Colorado Avalanche Columbus Blue Jackets 9 October 2018

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--The Colorado Avalanche concludes its quick, two-game Western Canada road trip tonight at Rogers Arena against the Vancouver Canucks.
Goaltender Philipp Grubauer will start in net for Colorado after Semyon Varlamov guarded the pipes on Thursday at the Calgary Flames. The Avs lost 6-5 versus the Flames in the first half of their back-to-back set.

Grubauer has a 3-0-1 record in four games this season and sports a 2.76 goals-against average and .916 save percentage. He is 2-0-0 in three all-time contests versus the Canucks.
Colorado did not hold a morning skate practice today, so the exact forward combinations and defensive pairings for this evening's matchup won't be known until closer to game time.
Below is the Avalanche's lineup from Thursday's game at the Calgary Flames, with the only change to it being with the goaltenders. They are subject to change.
