by Craig Merz / Independent Correspondent

DUCKS (3-1-0) at BLUE JACKETS (1-2-0)

The Game

Ryan Getzlaf will become the Anaheim Ducks' all-time games played leader when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Friday.

The 34-year-old center, in his 15th season with the Ducks, will play his 989th game with them and pass longtime linemate Corey Perry, who played 988 games through 14 seasons with Anaheim.

The Ducks, who have allowed five goals in their first four games, were denied the best start in their history when they lost 2-1 at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

The Blue Jackets, outscored 14-7 in their first three games, seek their second straight win.

Players to watch

Ducks center Adam Henrique has an assist in each of his past four games against Columbus.

Blue Jackets rookie forward Alexandre Texier had his first regular-season multipoint game when he had an assist and scored in overtime in a 4-3 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Monday.
