The Flames are looking to snap out of a four-game funk, the most recent loss a 4-0 decision at home to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. In Matt Stajans's 1,000th game, the Flames were held scoreless even though they outshot their opponent 29-16. Their closest chance came in the second period when Dougie Hamilton beat goalie John Gibsonbut not the crossbar.

The Sharks are coming off a 2-1-overtime win against the Pacific-Division leading Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday. Brett Burns scored in the second to tie the game, while Couture got his 31st of the year which was the game-winner in overtime. Martin Jones had 24 saves in the win.

This is the fourth and final game between the Flames and Sharks in this divisional rivalry. The Flames are 0-2-1 against the Sharks this season, falling 3-2 at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Dec. 14, 3-2 in a shootout on Dec. 28 in San Jose, and 7-4 on March 16 at home.
