WINNIPEG, October 5, 2018 - The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club announced plans today for its 2018-19 home opener on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at Bell MTS Place when the team welcomes the Los Angeles Kings.
Bell MTS Place doors will open at 6:00 P.M. CT and every fan in attendance will receive an LED wristband on their way inside the arena. Fans in attendance will also receive a Jets 2018-19 schedule fridge magnet as they exit following the game. Those who arrive early can enjoy the Dirty Catfish Brass Band, who will be entertaining the crowd in the pre-game on the concourse and in the atrium.

The Jets and Kings players will be on the ice for warm-ups at 6:30 P.M. CT. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats early as the 2018-19 Intro video sequence will be seen for the first time at 6:55 P.M. CT followed by the Jets full-team player introductions starting at 7:00 P.M. CT. After the intros, there will be a tribute and a moment of silence for the first Jets captain Ab McDonald to recognize his impact on the organization and the Winnipeg hockey community. The American and Canadian anthems will then be performed by Stacey Nattrass.
The Jets also announced plans for their second home game on Sunday, Oct. 14 against the Carolina Hurricanes. That will be the first game to feature the Jets wearing their new Aviator third jerseys and every fan in attendance that night will receive a mini jersey on their way in to Bell MTS Place. The mini jersey is a smaller replica of a Blake Wheeler Aviator jersey.
