EHLERS TAKING OFF
Although he was held off the scoresheet on Thursday for the first time since he returned to the lineup, Nikolaj Ehlers has looked like his timing is back. The Danish forward had missed 36 games and since his return had at least a point in six of eight contests. He had his six-game point streak snapped in Toronto but had two or three solid scoring chances. The Jets will continue with the same four lines as they had in Toronto tonight, so Ehlers will skate with Mark Scheifele and Morgan Barron. There will be a couple of changes with Karson Kuhlman replacing Sam Gagner on the fourth line and Dylan Samberg is in and Ville Heinola is out on the third defence pairing.

NEED MORE GOALS 5V5
Winnipeg has been outscored 8-2 in the first two games of their road trip and both of their goals have come while on the power play. In fact, they have just one goal at even strength over their last three games with that goal coming off Blake Wheeler's stick at the 16:45 mark of the second period last Sunday. According to Natural Stat Trick, the Jets have had lots of opportunities at 5v5, out chancing the opposition 87-58 with just one goal to show for it.
THREE TIME ALL-STAR
Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was voted to the Central Division's all-star team on Thursday… It's his third time representing the Jets at the NHL's all-star game (2018 and 2020). He is fifth in the NHL with a .923 save percentage this season. His 22 wins is tied for second among the league's netminders and he's one of seven NHL goalies with three shutouts this season. He has stopped more than 90% of the shots he's faced in 15 of his past 21 starts.
