TO THE NET
Rick Bowness wanted to see his team play with more passion and the Jets did just that on Monday against the New York Rangers in a 4-1 win at MSG. Winnipeg had 19 hits to go with 11 blocks and they went to the front of the net to score some greasy goals. Pierre-Luc Dubois opened the scoring when Josh Morrissey's point shot went off of him and past Igor Shesterkin for a power play goal. Winnipeg's second goal saw both Neal Pionk and Mark Scheifele go straight to the net before Kyle Connor's eventual shot slipped by Shesterkin and Scheifele tapped in the loose puck. The Jets will have to continue to do this to be successful against a gritty Islanders team.
