BARRON VS. BARRON
For the first time in their professional careers Jets forward Morgan Barron and Canadiens defenceman Justin Barron will face one another. Their parents will attend the Bell Centre to watch their sons this evening with Winnipeg looking to extend their winning streak to four games and stay on top of the Central Division. Justin was recently named to the AHL All-Star Game but is obviously hoping to stay in the NHL.
"It's an awesome achievement. He obviously was hoping to make this team (the Canadiens) out of camp," said Morgan Barron this morning.
"But for him to go down (to the AHL) and play the way he did, he should be proud of himself. It's been fun to watch. I've got to watch a lot of his hockey this year, it's well deserved for him."

MORE MILESTONES FOR CONNOR
Kyle Connor is closing in on some more milestones for his incredible career. With 199 career goals, Connor can be just the ninth NHLer in the past 20 years to score 200 goals in their first 430 career games if he scores on Tuesday in Montreal. Only six active NHLers scored 200 goals in their first 430 career games - Alex Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews. The Michigan product is also two assists away from 200 career helpers and three points away from 400.
NOT OVERLOOKING THE HABS
The Jets play the first game of a season high five game road trip tonight against the Canadiens who sit at the bottom of the Atlantic Division and are looking at the big picture rather than making the playoffs. Montreal has a lot of injuries at the moment as they will be without Paul Byron, Brendan Gallagher, Sean Monahan, Kaiden Guhle and Jake Evans. That all being said, the Canadiens just beat the Rangers on the road 2-1 following a 2-1 setback to the Islanders. They will be a tough opponent for the Jets.
