CONNOR RELIEVED
Kyle Connor ended an 11-game goalless drought with his 28th marker of the season during Winnipeg's 3-2 win over Anaheim on Thursday to start this three-game road trip. Connor had been getting chances beforehand and it just felt like a matter of time that he got one. The 26-year-old is closing in on 30 goals for a second straight campaign and the fifth time in his career. Connor, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Nino Niederreiter have looked really good together since Rick Bowness put them together.

GOALS WILL BE TOUGH
The Kings have allowed two goals or fewer in nine straight games and have got great goaltending from the combo of Pheonix Copley and Joonas Korpisalo. Mason Appleton said the Jets worked on getting through the neutral zone with speed and possession in practice on Friday afternoon. The Jets have played three straight games against teams who are out of playoff contention, so it will be nice to see where they are when they go up against a team that plays in structure like Los Angeles.
TOP LINE CHALLENGE
The Kings top line of Anze Kopitar, Adrian Kempe and Quinton Byfield have been on fire since the start of 2023. Since January 3rd, the have combined for 85 points in 31 games. Kopitar was dominant in the Kings only visit to Canada Life Centre back in February as he scored four times in the Kings 6-5 shootout win. The trio is also excellent defensively as according to Natural Stat Trick, they have been on the ice for 26 goals for and only nine against at five-on-five. The Kings get last change so it will be tough to get the Lowry line matched up against Kopitar's this afternoon.
